In attempting to learn how to build a viable Web Site I have chosen to share some of the many photos I possess of the dedication of a life size statue of Father Edward J. Flanagan at the place of his birth, Ballymoe Ireland, on October 8, 2001.  Thank you.  RCF

The photo on this page is of Fr. Peter and Alumni present for the dedication standing within the framework of the home Fr. Flanagan grew up in.  It is located on land owned by a farmer, Patrick Collins.  When he bought the property in the early 1950s, he had every notion to bulldoze the Leabeg house, because it was deteriorating and some parts of the walls were crumbling.  Back then, it was not known as the Leabeg house, nor had he heard of Fr. Flanagan.  Why didn't he bulldoze the place when he had the notion to do so?  Mr. Collins states:  "I don't really know why I didn't tear it down.  I just couldn't."  Photo is dated 10-06-01.

Though I am no longer Secretary of the BOYS TOWN NATIONAL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, I still welcome any communications regarding the ASSOCIATION!  If they are items the secretary needs to answer I will forward them to Secretary John Abare.  Being appointed Historian, (five year tenure - by motion 5/20/06), brings forth new challanges and if I cannot answer any questions regarding the ASSOCIATION I will find out who can.  So, if you have a question for me regarding the ASSOCIATION please ask.  Thank You.
